We are pleased to announce that with effect from 6th October 2009, Kenya Airways is extending its 2 pieces baggage allowance on journeys to/from Bangui / Malabo.  The new baggage allowance to the additional destinations will apply to tickets issued from 06th October 2009.

2PC will apply on journeys to/from Nairobi, Mombasa, Dar es Salaam, Khartoum, Addis Ababa, Entebbe, Kigali, Bujumbura, Lusaka, Lilongwe, Kinshasa, Lumbumbashi, Harare, Dzaoudzi, Moroni, Antananarivo, Maputo, Johannesburg, Djibouti, Kisangani, Ndola, Gaborone, Brazzaville, Libreville,  Bangui and Malabo except to/from LCY airport. e.g. LHR KQ NBO or LHR KL AMS KQ NBO.

Economy Class:
2 pieces @ 23Kgs per piece
Business Class:
2 pieces @ 32Kgs per piece
Maximum Size:
(L, W, H) 158cm per piece

* The previous weight allowance was 20Kg total on Economy and 30Kg total on Business.

Stopovers: 2PC will apply on itineraries with stopovers on either outbound or inbound to the above mentioned destinations only.

Weight allowance applier to all other destinations.

Weight Concept:
Free weight allowance has been increased to 30Kgs in Economy / 40Kgs in Premier World applicable on KQ direct flights only, however the weight per bag should not exceed 32kgs.

NB: LAU / KIS and MYD are restricted to 15kgs for all classes.
PRECISION AIR (codeshare flights and Passport to Africa add ons): all baggage allowance on flights operated by PW is restricted to 20kgs for all classes.

Excess baggage charges:
When the weight is more than 23Kgs but not above 32Kgs, a charge of EUR: 50.00 (or equivalent in local currency) applies.
For each extra piece not exceeding the maximum allowed weight and size, a charge of EUR: 150.00 (or equivalent in local currency) applies.
The new allowances are applicable for tickets issued on or after 19th December, 2007.
